TTUHSC Occupational Therapy Program Ranked Eighth Nationally

According to GraduatePrograms.com, the Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center (TTUHSC) School of Health Professions occupational therapy program is the eighth best in the nation according to students who were asked to rate their schools in a national survey. Current and past graduate students were asked to rate their experience within their occupational therapy programs regarding 15 aspects including academic competitiveness, program value, student diversity and career support among others.

“The graduate program has been challenging but exactly what I hope for in an institution that is going to prepare me for my career in health care,” said Daniel Serna, an occupational therapy student. “The professors are extremely helpful and respectful to all students.”

The TTUHSC occupational therapy program received an 8.56 out of 10 rating. Washington University in St. Louis led with a 9.25 out of 10 rating. The TTUHSC program was the highest ranked in Texas with Texas Woman’s University, which received an 8.33 out of 10 rating, coming in at number 11.

According to the GraduatePrograms.com website, the mission of the site is to provide helpful information to prospective graduate students through peer-written ratings and reviews. GraduatePrograms.com reaches current and recent graduate students through scholarship entries as well as social media platforms. These program rankings include student responses from September 1, 2012 through September 30, 2015.
